Verus Engineering Dive Plane Kit, Dual Element, Matte Clear Coat – Porsche 991.2 GT3 and GT3RS

The dive planes developed for the Porsche 991.1 GT3 and GT3 RS are engineered to increase front axle downforce while maintaining minimal aerodynamic drag. Their geometry also enhances high-pressure airflow directed into the factory intake duct, improving overall aerodynamic efficiency.

These components are designed to operate effectively without requiring additional rear aerodynamic balance, depending on driver preference and vehicle setup. In testing, gains of up to 0.7 seconds have been observed, attributed to increased front-end grip in high-speed corners and the resulting improvement in cornering speed. However, for drivers seeking additional rear stability, the use of these dive planes should be paired with a rear aerodynamic device such as a wing or diffuser.

Each unit was developed using high-resolution 3D scan data, modeled in CAD, and validated through CFD analysis in ANSYS Fluent to ensure optimal performance characteristics.

Manufactured from 1.5 mm pre-preg carbon fiber and autoclave-cured, the dive planes utilize a 2×2 twill weave construction and are available in both matte and gloss clear coat finishes.

Also known as canards, dive planes provide a means of shifting aerodynamic balance forward, making them an effective tool for counteracting rear-biased aero setups and fine-tuning overall vehicle balance.
