The RSS Tarmac Series 2-Piece Rear Lower Control Arm Kit is engineered for Porsche® 986, 996, 987, 997, and 981/982/718 models, delivering uncompromising performance for drivers seeking maximum precision and control. Designed specifically for lowered vehicles running reduced-travel struts or dampers, this motorsport-grade system corrects geometry and eliminates compliance found in factory components.

Built to outperform OEM rubber-mounted suspension arms, the RSS Tarmac Series replaces soft rubber bushings with precision spherical monoball ends and solid mounting solutions. This eliminates deflection under load, ensuring consistent suspension behavior, improved feedback, and sharper handling—especially under aggressive driving or track conditions.

Kit Includes:

  • Non-adjustable, non-hydraulic replacement thrust arm bushings
  • Spherical monoball ends for precise articulation
  • Shim kit (1mm / 2mm / 3mm / 7mm) for fine geometry adjustment

Performance Benefits:
Factory rubber suspension components are designed to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, harshness), but at the cost of performance. Under load, these components deflect—causing unwanted suspension movement and even temporary changes in effective spring rates. The RSS Tarmac Series Control Arms eliminate this compromise, providing a direct connection between the chassis and suspension for more predictable handling and reduced driver correction.

  • 987 and 981 models may require additional rear Litronic or torque vectoring sensor brackets
  • Most applications may require Litronic / PASM / torque vector sensor brackets

FEATURES & BENEFITS • Replaceable Sub-Assemblies: For the extreme, repetitive track day enthusiast or racer, our high strength steel alloy spherical bearings (with a friction reducing, longevity increasing Teflon liner) outer and inner arm sub-assemblies can be replaced unlike the motorsports arms, in which case a new set of arms will need to be purchased if the spherical bearings are worn out. • Adjustable Suspension Geometry: Adjust dynamic camber values and roll center heights with our unique zinc plated steel bushings. • Solid Monoball Control Arm Ends: Offers better handling and a more responsive suspension over the factory one-piece rubber injected control arm by eliminating bushing deflection (also uses the same high strength steel alloy spherical bearing found in our control arm monoball kit). • 6061 Aerospace Grade Billet Aluminum Construction: Allows for a more uniform molecular structure at every point of the arm over the cast components providing a more durable and inherently stronger part. Manufacturing from billet aluminum rather than casting results in fewer impurities in the metal. • Anodized Aluminum Surfaces and Zinc Plated Steel Parts: Allows for better corrosion resistance against the elements.
