Development & Testing
Engineered specifically for the 981 platform, this system is designed with precisely sized 2” runners and optimized collectors to extract maximum performance from the 3.4L engine—while also delivering strong gains for the 2.7L. High-flow catalytic converters are carefully selected to balance power and durability, avoiding the compromises of undersized alternatives. The result is a broad, dynamic sound profile: a refined, drone-free tone with valves closed, and an aggressive, Cup car–inspired character when opened. SOUL’s muffler design effectively minimizes drone, even when paired with aftermarket headers.

Construction
Each system is precision-crafted from T304L stainless steel for exceptional strength and longevity. Performance-focused design elements—including port-matched flanges, smooth-radius primary tubing, and optimized collectors—work together to maximize exhaust flow and power gains. Mandrel-bent tubing and reinforced muffler casings ensure durability, while every unit undergoes rigorous quality inspection before shipping.

Exhaust Tips
Customize your look with a variety of tip styles and finishes, including single-wall 321 stainless, double-wall chrome, and optional titanium tips for reduced weight. Additional options such as logo engraving and custom colors allow for a personalized finishing touch.

The result was immediate success with our Over Axle Pipes and rear exhaust system, delivering a freer-flowing exhaust path and a dramatic increase in character. However, we also recognized the need for versatility. For drivers who want maximum excitement on demand without sacrificing comfort, we developed a Valved Exhaust System that delivers the best of both worlds.

    Featuring a full 3-inch X-pipe regardless of valve position, the system allows the flat-six’s signature high-frequency soundtrack to shine when the valves are open, while providing a more subdued and refined driving experience when they are closed. When paired with either our Competition or Resonated Over Axle Pipes, sound levels increase further and performance gains are enhanced by eliminating the factory exhaust restriction.

    The result is a complete exhaust package that combines uncompromising performance, an exhilarating motorsport-inspired soundtrack, and everyday usability. However, pursuing maximum flow and sound revealed an additional challenge that required attention: drone.

The Soul Performance Products Competition Package picked up 11 whp and 9 ft-lbs of torque – with more power expected with a custom retune. CONSTRUCTION:  Our precision engineered headers are meticulously fabricated from T304L stainless steel. Proven design elements including port matched flanges, smooth radius primary tubing, and collectors that optimize the exhaust flow all work in conjunction to maximize power gains.
